Contractor Intention on Contractors’ All Risk Takaful Product in Malaysian Construction Industry

Objective – Contractors’ All Risks (CAR) Takaful is completely different from CAR conventional insurance. insurance involves elements of usury (riba), gambling (maysir) and uncertainty (gharar) in their resources operations which prohibited by Shari’ah. This paper aims to investigate the relationship between attitude, awareness, understanding, religiosity, subjective norm, service quality role agents with contractor’s intention choosing products based on theory planned behaviour (TPB). In addition, this address most influential factors that affect products. Design/methodology Using primary data collection method, 421 questionnaires were distributed target respondents comprising Bumiputera contractors Malaysia except for Sabah Sarawak, who are registered CIDB grade G1 G7 also a member Persatuan Kontraktor Melayu (PKMM).
